Ingredients:
1 tbsp fresh ginger, chopped
2 cloves fresh garlic, chopped
1/2 hot chili
Juice of one lemon
1-2 tbsp raw, unprocessed honey (purchase in the health food section of the supermarket)
2 cups water
Method:
Simmer the ginger for 10 minutes, take off the heat and add the chili and garlic. Put the lid on and let sit for 10 minutes. Serve with honey and lemon. Sip throughout the day. Versions of this remedy can be made with great effect. For example ginger tea only, or with garlic or honey. Honey and lemon is a tried and tested favorite.
Obviously increased rest and early nights is the key to a quick recovery from respiratory infections.
